    Description

    Antique Chinoiserie Papier Mache Black Lacquer Crumb Catcher / Silent Butler
    Victorian era possibly British c Mid 19th Century
    Tray is approximately 10 " at widest point by 10 " tall.
    Brush is 13 3/8 " long
    Flaws
    Small chip in lacquer finish at bottom right of tray ( see photo )
    Various imperfections ie: small marks, scratches rough areas mostly on back of tray. Auction or dealers label on back of tray. ( see photos )
    Some bristles missing from brush.
    Asian scene high points on the faces somewhat worn ( see photos )
    That's everything negative I can see. The usual flaws for similar pieces of the period.
    This is a very nice piece of antique Chinoiserie and in very good antique condition overall.
