    This is one of many items procured by my grandfather during his military world travels.
    The James C Nichols Art Studio in Kalamazoo Michigan assessed it 25-30 years ago and provided the following documentation:
    “Circular rosewood panel inlaid with lighter wood, a group of four scholars and an acolyte, in low relief, diameter 13-1/4”; Chinese, early 19th century.”
