This is

In itsday it was the
Cadillacof Videography
for quite a fewyears.
It was touted as a “
Hi Def 8 millimeterrecorder
”.
During that timeperiod, other lower end camera recorders were selling on the market, however,this one was considered as a more expensive model.
It is a 1990 model which was purchased on December 20, 1989as a Christmas gift for my husband
.
At that time the price paid was 17.00
.
Wow!! That was a lot of money at that timeand it still would be today.
If youspent that amount on a video recorder today, you would also be buying a goodquality unit
.
This video recorder is practically brand new.
My husbandonly used it a few times and then it was put into storage due to illness.
It never came out of storage until I justfound it in a drawer in the office.
Soit has been in a dry
, indoor storage area for morethan 30 years

Editing features
The 8 mm video system employs a metal powder tape.
This means the video camera recorder iscapable of recording a large amount of information and enhances picturequality. Metal evaporated tape is ideal for video systems because it has largemagnetic energy that allows for high-density recording.
The Hi8 video camera recorder uses suchhigh-grade tape for the Hi8 video system, covering a wide frequency range toachieve a high-quality video signal for recording/playback.
This unit uses 8 mm video format cassettes.
It records in the SP mode (approximately 1.43cm/second) and can play back in the SP mode and the LP mode.
If you purchase this video camera, I believe you will havelots of fun with it.
Since it has notbeen used for many years, it may need to be serviced before use.
I have not tested it out and am selling it asis.
It was working fine when put away into storage.
