I've owned this Sony DSR-45 deck since new, and it has
VERY LOW HOURS
(see the "HRS METER" pic) as follows:
250 hours "tape run" (tape is moving through the transport)
300 hours "drum run" (tape is either moving or paused but the rotary videohead drum is spinning)
1420 hours "operation" (machine is powered on, even if there is no tape inserted and nothing is moving)
I just tested it today
, Wed. July 7, 2021 and it's working.
I took all these pics today and they show the actual unit being sold, serial #113054; none of these pics were downloaded from websites or scanned from brochures.
